Update1: Called Tablo Support, (Didn’t think anyone would actually answer but they did) they suggested deleting the Tablo app from the Onn device and re-installing it. Will try that this evening and report back.
Update2: Re-installed Table on the Onn device still get the same issue.
Tablo was working okay at first. I started getting Unknown Error has occured using Onn 4k Pro. The other TV which has the Tablo app built in seems to work better but sometimes circles. I also use Eero. Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?
I’ve seen that twice on a onn 4K streaming box. Each time was on a channel that had spotty reception. If your error is the same as mine, just dismiss the error (retry) and everything will proceed OK.
There have been numerous people having an issue while using an Eero network with their Tablo. I’m not sure if any of them have been “resolved”… but with a little digging on here you might find a trick that works.
I have seen Eero questions tossed around here as well. I will say that I switch to Frontier Fiber in April and that came with Eero equipment, plus I have added two additional mesh nodes, and I have had no problems at all… but that is just my experience.
Thanks. I did dig though several. I had high hopes for something called “Reservations & Port Forwarding” but that did not help. I’ll contact Eero again. Tablo’s only suggestion was to re-install the app on the Onn device, which I did to no avail. Not giving up yet :).
@TonyL, have you tried wiring the ONN device to the eero? Maybe it’s a wireless thing. What model eero(s) do you use and how far apart is the eero from the ONN box?
I tried all the suggestions above, but still not working. What I find is that it usually plays two or three seconds of what was previously being watched then displays “Unkown Error”. I did find that if I clear the Tablo Cache from the Onn device or do “stop device” from Onn. It works fine, but I have to do that every time.
