Understanding Max Recording Quality options

I just got my new Tablo up and running. I hope to be able to dump cable and just go OTA. My question is regarding the max recording quality setting. I see the best setting is HD 1080 - 10 mbps, 720x60fps. So is this setting recording at 1080 or 720x60fps?

Most of my channels are coming in as 1080I and I have a 1080P TV. My desire would be to be able to record at least at 1080I so as not to loose any resolution from the original source.

Can this be done? Am I just not understanding something here?

I believe it is the max resolution the channel is available in. Don’t know what the logic behind the 2 choices and how it auto chooses.

Two attempts to explain the difference between 1080i and 720p 60 fps.
