TV Guide Data Subscription

I’ve read in the FAQ that a subscription to TV Guide data is available. What I can’t seem to find out, is what Guide Data is available if I don’t subscribe?

If I remember correctly I read somewhere on their site that only the current days data is available and you can only setup recordings by time of day and not by show without a subscription.
