I’m having issues with tv shows freezing/stopping & starting again. Sometimes they do it every 5 minutes. Stops for a minute or so then runs for several minutes. does this over and over. This seems to be random. I’ve bypassed my ASUS router & gone direct Ethernet to TMobile Gateway. This seemed to help but it started it again. Is there a way to determine if the TMobile Gateway or the Tablo is the culprit?
Is anything else on your network failing? If so, that’ll be a solid sign the issue is with the router. Either way it might be viable, if you haven’t already, to restart your router as it might need a soft reset of sorts.

Thanks for responding, Yes I’ve done multiple restarts, resets, bypass the router.
However. I was just this morning moving the USB connected hard drive and my wife said it had stopped. I have exchanged the hard drive. We will see if it does it anymore.
I will post again when I can determine if it is operating as normal.
Could a bad hard drive cause the stopping and starting issue?
Seems to be working properly with the exchanged hard drive.

I’m still having the same issue. This device is clearly bad. It takes forever for the channels to come up. I never had these problems with my Legacy Tablo.
This is what I wrote back to support:
I went to Home Depot and bought everything I needed to hook up Coaxial cable from my antenna to all the TV’s in the house. I scanned channels on the TV’s and started watching. The signal comes in perfectly on all. No freezing at all. Even in the strong thunderstorms and rain we had that night.
Also, I recorded the Monday night football game and just tried watching it. It recorded the freezing just as if I was watching it on Tablo.
Our streaming channels Prime Video, Paramount+, Netflix never freeze. So this pretty much rules out my WiFi network.
This Tablo is unusable like this. I don’t know what more I can check.
I never had this problem with my old Legacy Tableo. I would still be using it but my new TVs won’t work with it.
I would like an exchange. This one is obviously not working correctly.
Please let me know if you plan on helping me exchange it.
I can’t understand why Tablo won’t exchange the unit. If not just to rule out a bad device.
This sucks! It’s literally useless like it is. Recording only records the freezes also. The guide comes up most times but takes at least Minutes of waiting and watching the spinning circle. When a program does load a frozen pictures appears for several minutes before it starts playing and freezing.
