I doubt sinclair cares about ATSC 3.0 OTA channels like you think. They have always been looking at ATSC 3.0 as a new business model.
“BEST” (Broadcast-Enabled Streaming Television) channels, ie announced over the broadcast but delivered over the internet.
And maybe
HELD is where the broadcaster includes an internet URL in the broadcast. The TV is meant to load that webpage and display it in a transparent web browser over top of the channel that is playing

But honestly, why do people cramp up about watching garbage on TV? If there really was something decent that people would miss when they lost access, I’d understand.
