Is anyone else not able to find any mention of The Amazing Race on their Tablo? My scheduled recording is gone and searching for the show in the guide pulls up nothing. It’s like it has disappeared off the airwaves? I still have several recordings of the show but I can’t reschedule it since nothing shows up. I’ve tried the computer, a tablet, and a Roku with the same (non-) results.
According to TVDB it is not on again until April 3rd, it may just not be in the guide yet.
Last week’s episode said that it was off for 2 weeks. It WILL return. They announced that about the time you’d see previews, etc. - my wife likes the show and caught that
Around here the college basketball tourney was on the CBS station so nothing network was on - only the games.
I’m having the same issue with Allegiance. Missed the last 2 episodes, and can’t find it Scheduled or in Search
*edit, quick google search just revealed the show was cancelled apparently. nevermind. doh!
@kevrx Allegiance was canceled sadly http://tvline.com/2015/03/06/allegiance-cancelled-season-1-nbc/
Only the iPad app will show all the schedules that a user has set up. All the other apps only show schedules of shows that have an episode coming up in the next two weeks.
Also note that the guide data is not always up to date a full 14 days ahead of time. I wanted to schedule the premier of Weird Loners and it was not in the guide data until 11 days prior to the premier. I make a habit of checking the Premier filter every couple days. I find it to be a really good way to keep up on new shows.
It could be that it was off for 2 weeks. I figured I was within the 14 days but maybe it will be back soon, I’ll keep checking. A recent hard drive and firmware problem had me worried which is why I asked. Thanks all.
Ah bummer! Disappointed about Allegiance cancellation…
Amazing Race WILL be back, like I said, no worries there as last episode my wife said “bummer, they are taking a couple weeks off” and she said they announced their return date at the end of the last episode a week ago last Friday. They’ll be back, it’s too popular to just die and disappear. Not that I’m into reality shows but that one can be sort of fun at times. Survivor, forget it - those idiots are too full of themselves, then they get there and gripe about how hard it is. Really?
I just want to tell some of them "You dufus have you ever WATCHED the show? You didn’t think it would be that hard, eh? Geesh. " and I get so ticked at them I’m afraid if I watched we’d be buying a new TV every week as I’d have something very heavy and hard to toss at some of those fools.
Hmmm, a show, “Weird Loners”, what would THAT show be about, pray tell?
Never mind, it’s probably a show based on my group of high school friends! HAHA. :-)
All, the TVDb is a good tool for looking up episode information of TV shows. It shows all past episodes and specials with original air dates and the next few scheduled episodes with planned air dates. It is also the DB that Plex uses for Metadata for TV shows.
I agree with @roraniel. But realize that the information in thetvdb is community maintained and sometimes doesn’t agree with the ‘source’ of data your are comparing it to. And it’s designed for ‘after the fact’ lookups… thus I have ‘something’ media wise and want to know some kind of meta information about that ‘something’. It’s not for new things, it’s for things that exist and for which the community has added meta information.
With that said, I use it, I contribute to it… it’s a good source of info.
In cases where the community attempts to add meta data for things that truly don’t exist yet, sometimes the information can be ‘bad’ and needs to be corrected later on.
I think the Tablo should show you all your scheduled recordings regardless of if there are any upcoming episodes like my old cable DVR used to do.
The benefits would be two fold, first I would know I set the Amazing Race series to record but there are no upcoming episodes in the next two weeks and second I could go in a clean up any series I scheduled to record that had been cancelled mid season or not renewed for the next season...
What's to keep the scheduled recording list for series shows from just getting larger over time as shows you setup get cancelled since you can't see them any longer to delete the record that says to record the series?
Of course no matter what I still love my Tablo!
Round about this time, I start visiting ismyshowcancelled.com… I would have seen Allegiance on there, if I had. But at least I see Mom was renewed.
Hey here is an interesting development…
Hey here is an interesting development....Allegiance showed up in my Hulu Queue with an air date of today! So maybe it lives in some form!
Thanks for the tip!

Agree!!! I want to see & manage all my scheduled shows, regardless of whether there are any new episodes in the next 2 weeks.

I had read that 8 or 9 episodes were produced before the plug got pulled after airing episode 5, so Hulu may have picked up the remaining episodes that were already finished.
@roraniel makes since, it was episode 8 I saw in Hulu
Hey, episode 9 of Allegiance just showed up in my Hulu queue for those that “needed” to know
