Temporary Channel Frequency Change, Unable to Record

KDSM 17.1 in Des Moines, Iowa recently had transmitter problems, and their signal has been picked up by WHO 13.3. The recordings scheduled for 17.1 were properly recording from 13.3 until I ran a channel scan which marked 17.1 as not receivable and removed it from my guide. Now while I can watch KDSM on 13.3, I can’t record anything through the guide. Any way around this?

So is there no guide data for 13.3? Or is the guide data incorrect?

Either way, you can still set a manual recording for that channel.

There’s guide data for 13.3, but it reflects the previous programming on 13.3 (Antenna TV) rather than what’s being broadcast. The fun/bizarre part is that after the migration of 17.1 programming to 13.3 (May 23) but before I executed the channel scan (early June) it was working correctly:

  • 17.1 was in the guide with proper programming
  • Choosing 17.1 from the guide tuned to the right frequency (whatever 13.3 uses)
  • Recordings scheduled for 17.1 occurred properly without any additional intervention

Hrm…

They weren’t too clear about how long this ‘temporary’ arrangement would be.

If you drop a note to support with the details, we can at least ask our guide provider if they can associate the right data in the meantime: www.tablotv.com/ask-tablo
