2.) TCL Roku 43" TV (Model 43S515 does not connect to Tablo. I installed the app and after starting the app I get TABLO blue screen with the “Getting the latest shows and movies…” Thats as far as I can go. I can sit there for hours. So far I did the following with no resolution:
-Factory Reset TCL TV and updated to lasted firmware.
-Tried wired and wireless configuration and speed test normal.
Check IP address of TV and its the same subnet of Tablo
Roku TV Firmware 14.1.14 / Tablo Firmware 2.2.54
Email Tablo Support (no respond)
I also did a factory reset on Tablo, firmware update.
I switched away from hosted app in my TV to an external Roku Ultra with ethernet and it has worked very well. I was Samsung mind you (so no Roku OS in TV) but the Samsung Tablo app is terrible. Tablo running on external Roku Ultras (three of them) and it works great.
I also have one TV running on a cheaper Roku Express 4k+ (via WiFi) and it works very well too.
I wonder if memory and cpu contraints in the TCL so hinder the Roku OS that it can’t run the Tablo app well enough. You could try deleting unused apps in the TV to free up memory to see if that helps. I do that just to reduce clutter on the home page.
I am using the Tablo Gen4 App. Tablo and Roku running on latest firmware. Tablo and TCL TV is responding to pings. FYI Tablo is working just fine on the other TCL 55 inch TV, they are all on the same router network and all are responding to pings. I tried wired and wireless connection on the TCL 43 TV, same issue. I dont see it as a network connection issue since other Apps on work fine other than Tablo on the TCL 43 inch TV.
Check and see what network your TCL Roku 43" is connected to. If it’s linked to a “guest” network as opposed to your main one, that might be what’s causing these problems.
There is no guest network here, it is a wired connection to one router. It does not work with wireless as well. This might be a “TV problem”, I am not so sure. I need another TV to test the theory but again all my other Apps (Netflix, Hulu and Prime work fine).
Did all you suggested but no lock. Only got one router. Contact tech support via email early on, no respond. That is why I am here.
Anyway. I borrowed a Amazon Fire Stick TV and plug it to spare HDMI. Installed Tablo 4th Gen for Amazon TV and Tablo works just fine. I thinking its a TCL Roku TV 43 inch problem but since Tablo works on my TCL Roku 55 inch TV… I am just so confuse. Thanks to all. I might be returning Tablo.
