I purchased a new Tablo TV 4th gen in May. I went to use it and it said it was not available. Looked at the unit and there were no lights on it. Thought it was the power supply. Purchased a new one and tried the power supply with the old unit. Still no lights. So I guess the new Tablos are only good for 4 months.
I’m a week or so shy of a year here. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. I would definitely get in contact with support and ask about the one year warranty.
Would you consider reaching out to our technical support team: https://tablotv.com/support/#contact ? They should be able to help.
You don’t think it’s a big leap of logic to convert an anecdotal observation into a generality?
FWIW, my 4th gen TabloTV is going on a year now - like @269587. I hope you reach out tech support as recommended by @TabloTV.
Not sure what you mean. This is forum and I expressed my displeasure with a device that was only a few months old. Tablo sent me a new unit.
Mine has also stopped functioning properly this week, also bought back in the spring. Its still turning on and trying to work, but recordings are failing constantly, its disconnecting from the network all the time. Im at my 3rd strike with this device. It worked pretty well most of the summer after a rough start in the spring. I had to factory reset it like 4 times for it to actually start partially working this week. About all we can do is watch live because every recording is failing.
I want to love this device and its so close to being a great experience, but its just so buggy at random. Nothing has changed in our house or network all summer, why would it just start failing? there havent been firmware or app updates recently.
I submitted a support ticket for help a couple days ago. Nobody ever reached out and my support ticket was closed yesterday with the “how would you rate our support” follow up email. Well not great since it was nothing.
Im beginning to shop for an HD Homerun and Plex Pass setup. Nobody seems to be complaining about that.
I want a refund on this thing. I ended up missing my sports team game this past weekend due to being out of the house and it recorded only the first 15 min of the game broken up into 4 separate recording parts. I had to pay for NFL+ for a month to watch the game.
Very frustrated. Focus desperately needs to be put on resolving the bugs with the device and apps instead of adding new features.

I have a HD Homerun Flex 4K and Channels DVR for my main TV. Channels works way better than Plex Pass, although it is $80 per year.
I continue to have a Tablo setup for my Roku TVs.
