I connected my antenna directly to my tv and got all local channels plus even some from a neighboring city.
I plugged into Tablo and got 1 channel. I turned off the Tablo amplifier and got the same poor result.
What gives?

How close are you to the tv transmitters? Being too close to the transmitters can saturate the receiver on the strongest channels. Only the weak ones will show.
Are you using the antenna supplied by Tablo?
Tablo support might be able to help you from here. You might have a bad unit.

Your platform, Roku, IOS, Android?
How long you had the unit?
Did it ever work?
Thanks. Using iOS. Just bought it today, first time using it.
Do you get the FAST channels ok?
Yes, all 71 of them.
Just out of curiosity, are you disconnecting the antenna from the Tablo and connecting it to the TV, or do you have some sort of splitter and they are both connected at the same time. Also, what kind of antenna are you using?
I don’t think that this is your problem, but in general tuners in TVs tend to be more tolerant of weak signals than the Tablo. There are a few channels that I get with weaker signal and my TVs will get them okay, but the Tablo will not. Again, I don’t think this is your issue, and it is highly unlikely that cause your Tablo to not get any of the channels.
I assume you did a channel scan on your Tablo, correct?
I think the issue is Tablo has higher standards than my TV tuner. The one channel I get via Tablo has the highest signal strength. Is there a way to “lower Tablo’s standards” and allow lower quality signal strength channels through?
I have a legacy tablo on a splitter that feed TV and Tab. When stations started broadcasting ATSC 3.0 the tab had low signal problems. I ended up having to add a powered splitter so I could record stations on the tab.
Problem solved. It was the “digital cliff.” I bought a better antenna and now all the channels come through. Thank you everyone for your comments.
