I went through my ABC channel to test that. If it was a local program (like news), I could open up the listing fine. But almost every national ABC show (but not all for some reason) had that error.
Same for CBS (I am sure same for the other major broadcasters). I know the Tablo uses metadata from these programs to set up the listings, so I wonder if the guide provider is not sending some important data, that data now has different names, or the Tablo app just isn’t reading it right.
A month ago tablo was talking about how it was solving the gracenote guide issues by massaging schedules from other areas. This would apply to the big 4 networks.
So getting into the guide business might have some side affects.
My guide is still missing programming chunks in the guide data. My DVR seems to be recording programs that were previously set up prior to this current problem. With the missing guide data we can’t watch current programs or create a new recording.
The missing guide has made my tablo ( 4th Gen ) useless. I will start looking at competitors if this issue doesn’t get resolved soon.
Update to this post. I have two tablo 4th generations ( dual & quad ). Only because I bought a dual tuner before I realized the limitations of multiple recordings I would need. I finished running tests on both my tablos and The missing guide data are identical on both. This tells me it has the be an issue with the source of the guide info being downloaded to our devices. It doesn’t appear to be a cache issue, an app issue and I even reset both my ROKU’s to factory defaults.
Hello @ramysr - welcome to the Tablo Community. You should still be able to watch live or current TV by clicking on the channel column in the Guide instead of the program itself. Give it a try.
@Redneck - Try deleting your cache on each individual streaming device after you Update your Guide. You might also want to reset your Tablo first (short press of button on bottom)…
Cannot schedule series recording on certain shows.
From about 1500-1900 PDT cannot connect to Tablo or guide is blank for 10-15 minutes at the beginning of every hour.
When pausing a recorded playback (including live rewind) it leaves an overlay on the screen, obscuring part of the image. This used to go away after a few seconds.
