The newly improved Tablo Status page at tablotv.com/status is an important tool for 4th Generation Tablo device owners.
It provides a quick overview of the current state of key Tablo server infrastructure and your own Tablo device(s), making it easier to identify issues and determine appropriate troubleshooting steps.
If you have questions about the My Status page, see incorrect information about your Tablo device reported, or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know below.
I’ve been out of town for a few weeks. Is this page newly updated? What a great, new feature on this Status page. More info about this updated page.
Question for @TabloTV - it says in the Status page article that both Gen4 and Legacy Tablos will be visible on this page. I’m not seeing my OG Legacy - only the Gen4 is displayed.
It does look updated. Mine lists my currently Gen 4, and my old one that burnt out a few weeks ago. I wonder is there is some way to remove that old one from this status page.
Isn’t one of the major problems with the gen 4 is it’s constant desire to phone home. And tablo said they were going to reduce this dependency. I primarily use legacy. I haven’t connected to my unit with a gen 4 app in 36+ hours. Yet the status page says the unit phoned home 3 hours ago.
I decided to not wait for a tablo fix I unplugged the unit.
Okay, this is weird… The status page says that I have two Tablo, one is my new one which is running just fine. The other is my old one that fried about six weeks ago (I would like to know how to remove that old one from my status page).
Here is the weird part, it says that my dead one checked in only one day ago. That one is burned out, and hasn’t been plugged in to either power or my network for more than a month.
Maybe tablo should detail now much it’s reduced the number of times it phones home and the touches points in the code where it happens.
If I don’t have any FAST channels selected in my channel list, besides the guide server, why would my tablo software need/require Tablo Critical Server Infrastructure, Tablo Content Infrastructure, or Tablo Authentication Infrastructure. All I need is a guide update every 13 days.
And I don’t think my gen 4 checked in 4 minutes ago. It’s unplugged.
