I’ve been getting a lot of “Playback failed” errors in the last couple of weeks on my Tablo 4g. My setup hasn’t changed, so I’m not sure why these are happening with increasing frequency. It happens on several channels (from weak to strong), so I’m not sure it’s a reception issue.
I see you have a “My Status” feature on your website as part of the Tablo 4G service. Does this constantly monitor connectivity or other status measures on the Tablo (or it is just a periodic check in)? If so, can it monitor failures such as this and perhaps give a clue as to what’s going on?
At the bottom of the block that shows “green” lights is a count down telling you when the next status check is going to happen.
With bad reception, wouldn’t you see a decode error?
I also see the playback errors, with a power cycle, the problem goes away.
Looks like its updating about every 5-6 min(?) I guess that’s not continuous so it wouldn’t catch momentary glitches.
Hi @sktn77a,
Here’s some details about the My Status page.
As for the current issue, it’s possible that your streaming devices are running into some sort of Wi-Fi interference. This article may help.
