An update is available for the newest Tablo iOS mobile app for 4th generation Tablo devices.
This update has a lot of improvements and several bug fixes so make sure to update to the latest.
Here’s what you can expect:
Tablo iOS Mobile App (4th Gen) Update (v. 1.2.0)
• Live TV grid now locks scrolling orientation to one direction at a time
• Live Grid on iPad is now full-screen in portrait mode
• Adds improved library screen
• Adds series information screens for both guide screens and recorded series
• Other bug fixes and performance improvements
Unfortunately, iOS doesn’t natively support MPEG2 so that hampers our ability to provide as much control over playback of live or in-progress content as we do on other platforms.
I look forward to see how you work around this for tvOS as well. If you must restrict the app to newer hardware that can transcode on the fly, so be it. Apple products are an important platform for many of us
Live Guide does not consistently mark (orange lower border) episodes to be recorded even though they are scheduled with no conflicts. The problem occurs when an episode of 2 different shows are scheduled to record back-to-back. This is arguably a minor UI concern, but useful to resolve scheduling conflicts.
