I just purchased a Tablo and set it up yesterday. Everything is set up, and I love the interface as it makes it feel like I’m not watching OTA broadcasting but rather streaming.
The main reason I purchased the Tablo is because our local NBA team (New Orleans Pelicans) is now being aired for free on channel 7.1 Gulf Coast Sports Network by Grey Media.
My issue is when I scroll down to channel 7.1, its listed as a “My Antenna” Channel. The Pelicans game is playing when it’s schedule, but a different channel programming is listed in the guide. I want to be able to record the games, but I can’t since they’re not listed in the guide. Even if I tried recording what’s listed, the shows are only 30 mins long, so the game would get cut short.
What can I do, or better yet, what can the Tablo support team do to fix the issue so the correct lineup is displayed on the Gulf Coast Sports Network?
You’ll need to do another channel scan using an adjacent zip code, from the one you live in. You’ll need to do this until you can the majority of the channels in the Guide showing the correct information.
Im in the New Orleans broadcast area. Are you saying i should try a zip code in the Baton Rouge btoadcast area for instance, or another zip code in the New Orleans area?
Use one in your same city or the next town over. Try one and move on to the next if you don’t get the right results. Remember that it could take a while (up to half an hour) to get a full schedule downloaded.
If you can… once the guide says it’s done it’s second round of downloading, I would force quit the app and clear the cache (or data) just to make sure that it’s grabbing everything fresh.
Tvlistings.zap2it.com shows Pelicans games on channel 8.3 of WVUE. Did that station recently change the virtual channel number to 7.1? Tablo and zap2it both get guide data from Gracenote. Your best hope to is to use zap2it’s Contact Us form to ask them to get the channel number updated in the guide.
