Tablo freezing, won't boot up

Just got Tablo, literally installed yesterday. It stops in the middle of playing and has a very hard time starting up. Gives a lot of errors messages. I am running Starlink at 300+ Mbps and not nearly as many things on it as it will handle. I have rebooted until I’m sick of messing with it already! Help!

Unfortunately, you happened to become a new Tablo user when they are having some specific server problems. There have been some intermittent issues for about two or three weeks. They are working on it.

While I won’t pretend it is flawless, in general, I have found my Tablo to be very reliable. Stick with it. I think you will really like it.

A couple of quick pointers to get the most out of Tablo;

Make sure you have a good antenna, and one that is appropriate for your location and situation. Don’t skimp! Tablo is only as good as the signal you receive.

Make sure your home network is up to snuff, especially anywhere you are setting up a viewing station. If you can connect via Ethernet rather than WiFi, it is almost always preferred.

Good luck with everything.

That’s actually wrong. It’s only as good as the guide data. All of my channels have excellent reception. I have 3 channels with wrong guide info so those channels can’t be recorded. Tablo says they won’t do anything to correct guide info.

Try different zip code that gets the same channels that show up incorrect?
At one time you could put in a trouble ticket with Tablo and they would correct the guide data for incorrect channels. It took a little while but it got fixed. Are they not doing that now?

Already done. Changing zip does nothing. Their response is below.

“We are not able to fix incorrect guide data at this time.”

I stand by my statement. I didn’t claim that it was the solution to everything. Yes, I agree, Gracenote, the supplier of guide information, is far less than perfect, and Tablo is at the mercy of Gracenote, who has been less than helpful. I don’t think the problem is that Tablo won’t do anything to correct guide info, I think that with Gracenote, they can’t.

I believe that Tablo has looked into other suppliers, but nothing has happened yet.
