I understand why this happened, but this should really be fixed.
Tonight I was watching Jeopardy. I hadn’t watched in a while, so I selected the oldest episode that I had recorded. I was about ¾ through the episode when it stopped and popped up with an error message. There was a “retry” option, so I tried that a few times with no luck. That is when I looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:30. The new episode of Jeopardy had just finished recording. I had it set to save five episodes and the one I had been watching had just become the sixth, so it deleted it WHILE I WAS ACTIVELY WATCHING IT.
I get that it did exactly what I had told it to do, but I would think that it would be smart enough to not delete something while it is being actively streamed to one of my Roku. I know that my original TIVO was smarter than that.
In the meantime, I will try to be more careful.
