Support and troubleshooting just because I can’t figure out where this goes. I posted before about having to switch from roku to firestick on one of my TVs. Firestick is pretty much superior to roku but for one thing. When first firing up the app on firestick the little circle spins and spins and spins until I hit the back arrow and then I get the splash screen and the home screen for tablo shows up. It’s almost like it is looking for the tablo for …until I hit the back arrow and then it magically finds it. Weird. Anyone else see anything like this?

To prevent this issue in the future, press the back button on the remote until it asks if you’re sure you’d like to exit.
Sometimes when pressing the Home button instead, it puts the Tablo app to sleep and it severs the connection to the Tablo itself. Backing out completely ensures that you have closed the connection and you can start fresh the next time you uses the app.

Yes. I get the same behavior on the one ONN device that I have.

I get the same behavior on both the Roku and the firestick. when I launch the tablo4 app I see a the familiar circle spinning, sometimes for 2-3 minutes. extremely nerve racking. the tablo is connected via ethernet cable to my router port in my basement along with the router. The firestick is on first floor also on a internet hard wire connection, running the latest tablo firmware also. Roku is located on the third floor with a hard wire poe hardware 200 mips inet connection. why I get this nuisance circle is weird as everything is connected via a hard wire.

Have you tried rebooting the Tablo itself to see if that helps?

LOL. I’ve had this tablo long enough to know that that’s the very first troubleshooting step.

yes, rebooted tablo.
hitting the back button and closing the app sometimes will work
presently it takes at least 30-40 seconds of the nuisance spinning wheel on the attached device before I reach the homepage, or in some cases the last screen that was previously displayed just prior to the app was closed. i surmise I will live with this for awhile
