Tablo App Now Available on Kindle Fire Tablets (Sorry, not Kindle Fire TV yet...)

I don’t see an app for Kindle Fire HD 8.9, that would be handy since we don’t have the HDX.

Your intro web site says for Amazon apps:
Screen size must be 7”+ and must be running Android 4.1+

nothing about HD vs HDX

I bought Tablo based on using the Kindle to access Guide data. Is there a way around this that I’m not seeing?

@m0rstar - That version runs on Android 4.0 and you’ll need a tablet that runs at least 4.1. Sorry :(

I cannot get the app for kindle fire HD 7 to work at all to show live tv or recorded shows. it makes a static noise and shows a single frame, then the audio goes quiet and goes into endless buffering state.

Followed their link on the Tablo site, it goes to Amazon.com but Amazon says sorry, Fire HD 8.9 isn’t compatible so it won’t allow a download at all!

Also I see an option for “Use External Player” in the settings when using the Kindle Fire HD app, what is that for?

@loomis1975 I believe that option is to allow use of a third party player (e.g. MX player) for watching, as opposed to the built-in Tablo player.
