Since there’s no app yet for the Vizio Smart TV I downloaded it to my Firestick and run it from there. Works fine.

Yeah I do the same thing and it works great, but a Vizio app would be way more convenient.

I’ve been waiting for a year + on the development of a vizio app and I would love to know why one has not been released. It can’t be that complicated.
I think they are concentrating their efforts on fixing the grossly broken apps for major platforms like Roku and others first.

Back in 2018, this was the company’s response to why there is no Vizio app. Since they have never supported Vizio TVs directly, I am not sure why anyone would expect it to happen:
A native Tablo app for Vizio Smart TVs is not available as their televisions rely on built-in Chromecast support which (in most cases) requires casting from a smartphone or tablet, or a native app on the very limited Yahoo Smart TV platform store.

Vizio has improved their UI quite a bit, it’s too bad that they play hardball. Tablo would fill Vizio’s biggest weakness, their OTA support.
I’m new here so please forgive my ignorance, has anyone suggested that Tablo develop their own “stick” for use on Vizio or other non-app supported screens? An HDMI Tablo stick to interface with the Tablo, not to replace it, would be a great solution. IMO
Probably a good idea, but I think they have bigger fish to fry across all the streaming devices they currently support. Add it to the list.
