Tablo App for LG webOS Smart TVs (4th Gen) Update - (v. 1.5.0 + 1.5.2)

Hi folks,
We have an update for our LG app. Here’s what’s included for v.1.5.2:

  • Fix for getting stuck at start on 2019 TVs
  • Fix for back button not leaving player
  • Increased stability for Home and Live screens

Well I spoke too soon. Already getting an error message I have never seen before.

So what happened when you followed the on-screen instructions?

So today (Friday 10/25) when launching the app, there’s a notice of a new update for the app. After the FIASCO at the beginning of October, I see no reason to do this just yet and have all the issues for weeks (some still continuing). Anyone else have the guts to try it???
Would also be just plain smart if Tablo put in the announcement at the top of this the date that 1.5.0 or 1.5.2 was released. Not “today we released…”

It’s better than what the last update turned into. Here is a good tip for LG users: do NOT use the pointer with the Magic Remote. You are only asking for trouble. Just use the back and forward buttons and you will be OK… for now.

The Tablo App for LGTV is a disaster. Impossible to watch continuously as it reboots every four to five minutes.

Chromium Version: 94.0.4606.128
TV Model: LG 86UR8000AUA
WEBOS Version 8.4.0

This version has many issues remaining. Had to use a FireTV stick to be able to use Tablo and watch TV

Sorry to hear. I am on WebOS24/9.2.0-2601 and have had very few problems since both the last Tablo app update and the LG OS update. So far much better. My app version is the same as yours.

Thanks for the info Tandelor. Mine is WebOS23. A real nightmare to use the app.

Did this issue happen before the update as well as after?

It happened after the update to WebOS23. Prior to the update it was mostly working with some reboots, however after the update the reboots are very frequent, to the point that it is impossible to watch TV,

I started getting the Error: Invalid Type message on my LG TV today when I try to list the Live menu. How do I fix it? I already rebooted everything.

Welcome to the community, @Jechds. I’m no expert on the LG tv, but try these two things. Clear cache, uninstall and reinstall the app if clearing the cache doesn’t work.
