I rebooted last night. Didn’t try this morning but will give it a shot now.
And I’ll jump on one and see if I can try to duplicate your issue. :). Most of the time I see users having an issue and I’ll whip open the app for only a bit to see if I’m experiencing any issues. So, yes, I could take more than 15 minutes out of my day to test stuff – sorry!
I spoke too soon! Same symptoms as yesterday. On Android LIVE comes on for a few seconds and then App closes. On ROKU works fine!

Out of curiosity, are these 4-tuners or 2-tuners having the worst issue?
I can only test my 4-tuber ATM.
Well, I was just about to say my lack of response was a good sign but after rebooting Tablo & fireTV and clearing cache it worked for about 4-5minutes and then rebooted. I tried going back to live and it rebooted in less than 5 seconds this time. New record.
Sheesh!
I’m almost 20min into live play on my GoogleTV, but I can switch over to the FireTV in a min – might even try a firestick. Just… don’t make me plug in the Roku!
Edit: everything seems to be playing just fine – four OTA live streams at the same time and a FAST as well.
The only issue I ran into was with the Amazon Firestick 4k Max (1st gen). It did the 5-second app restart twice, but then I did the force cache clear reboot and it seems to be going strong. Even changed channels a few times. I’ll check in on them in a bit.
Edit2: The 1st gen 4k max is not liking something. Crashed again. Sorry for the false hope, guys!
When you cleared the cache, did you go into the app settings, or hold Play/Pause and OK until it rebooted? (I’ve probably shared this 20x with you and I’m sorry, I’m just curious which way you did this step.)
All 4 of my FireTV sticks are still doing the same thing this morning. Recordings and other interface functions are fine. LiveTV is causing the Tablo app to crash.
It is not the Tablo device. Tablo LiveTV on my iPhone is fine. Recordings are fine.
I did both. I went into app settings and cleared cache manually and then did the reboot. Appreciate your help, my friend.
Sorry, I just caught the beginning or your post this morning – there’s been so much action about these type of issues I somehow missed your attack from Tablo HQ!
So, if I’im understanding this, your issue is with a FireTV, not a firestick, right?
This is a 4 tuner. I don’t have a 2 tuner anymore.
I just recommended Tablo to several family and friends. Family can’t change our relations. Might get few less invitations to those weekend and holiday celebrations but might have a few less friends if they run into this out the gate.
LOL.
Or it could go the other way: You’re the Tablo expert so you’ll be invited to EXTRA dinners only to realize 5 min in that you’re there as tech support!
lol. Eat and run….hmm. That’ll teach them.
I couldn’t find a comparison, that you reference, using the HDHomerun I ordered, the 4 tuner Flex, 1.0 ATSC with connection for a HDD. No doubt there will be issues with HDHomerun, but as even Tablo says, each user’s environment is different. Hard to think it will be worse than this current debacle with Tablo. Moreover, Amazon’s return policy with the HDHomerun will allow me to compare, make a decision and return the HDHomerun if it is FUBAR as well.

Same here with (6) Onn Android TV Boxes, everything updated to the latest release. Crashes on live TV after ~30 seconds but not for FAST channels.
Update if Tabo Engineers read these at all.
The only Android TV device I’m not having an issue with is my Nvidia Shield Pro. I made sure I’m running the same APK as the ONN Android TV boxes.
The Nvidia shield pros a much more robust system than the economical Android TV boxes
Update at 23456.
Apparently the servers have been fixed, as all of my 7 Firesticks, iPad and iPhone bring up Tablo as good as ever after 11am today.
I’m not sure why there isn’t a mass broadcast to Tablo owners “ to not pull everything apart looking for a problem….its just a Tablo Server problem being worked out”.
It’s 8pm and all things Tablo seem to still be working.
Thanks for the heads up. Checked and things are working again for my fireTV’s.
