Tablo AndroidTV/Fire TV App (4th Gen) Update (v. 1.2)

I love that! It makes me worry that every time I open the app, something went wrong – like this was 6 months and 2 FW updates ago!

This more robust scheduled recordings management functionality got a lot of feedback from users a while back, and Tablo made changes that fixed the missing functionality.

Essentially, it allowed users to see ALL scheduled series recordings settings, even if all previous recordings were viewed/deleted, and no new episodes were upcoming/scheduled in the next 2 weeks. The classic use case is the season is over for a particular series, but it remains set to record all episodes when new ones come back in the fall. We needed a way to see/change this if desired. Another use case is to cancel the series recording settings if the series is cancelled. Now this cleanup mechanism is gone.

I just noticed this very welcomed fix has since been removed from the latest Tablo version on my FireTV and GoogleTV versions of Tablo. Please put this back!

Weird bug:

Playing an episode from Library>TV>Recent, went to the oldest episode. Played until about halfway. Backed out, hit OK again, it started the next episode up. I’m pretty sure the button highlighted said “Watch Episode” instead of “Continue” like it should have.

This still has not been “re-fixed”. There is no way to see/edit scheduled series recordings with no current recorded nor scheduled episodes. What is the deal with this? It seems the Tablo folks are ignoring this missing functionality … again!

Please fix this!

Got updated to version 1.3 and the GUI has totally changed. Side menu and now have to press menu option to change screens, even in the Library section. A News section was added too the main menu which is now on the side.

Waiting for them to post the what’s new in version 1.3…

I am not sure what genius decided going from a horizontal main menu to a vertical design would be okay. I hate it. Companies play way to freely with their customers without even telling them they are going to make changes.
I know you did it because it was so simple in your visual C coding to make a layout change. Why not give people a choice to change the skin?
It would be nice if you would fix bugs you have had for years instead of messing with what people are used to.

1st using of the new update on my ShieldTV. The app crashed several times while watching recorded over the air programs. The screen would go black for a couple seconds and then go to the Table app startup rainbow. I would then be able to go to the library and resume the program I was watching. I think we had about 6 crashes through three 30 minute programs. The programs were still recording while we were watching them.
