Tablo Android in Landscape Mode?

I have had my tablo for about a week and it has been amazing. My family uses it almost everyday (and it’s been a long long time since we’ve watched any OTA content). We have repurposed one of my kids old Kindles and just have it sitting on our kitchen counter all day:

The one minor annoyance is that while the app plays the OTA streams great in landscape mode, the app itself appears to only display in portrait mode for me.

So you have to tilt your head to the side 90 degrees whenever you’re selecting a show or recording. Not a big deal, but would be a tad more convenient to have the UX in landscape mode. Maybe I have the app configured incorrectly? Guessing I’m not the first person to try to watch use the app in landscape mode :P.

The legacy Android mobile app will let you stay in landscape mode for everything, but the 4th gen is in landscape only for playing the shows and portrait for everything else (as you noticed). It likely was a design decision for the new 4th gen user interface.

I agree, great of to use OTA. I mostly use Tablo on Roku, only occasionally on a tablet. The portrait/ landscape issue is slighty annoying, and should adjust dynamically in this day and age - IMHO.

Just bought a 4thGen and right off the bat, this is the MOST ANNOYING thing ever. Plan to use an android tablet (samsung s8) for channel guide and watch 99% on LG TV (not tablet, not phone). Channel guide MUST rotate to landscape. TABLO, MAKE IT HAPPEN!
