With the recent update my recordings are automatically deleting at the end of the show. Not because I have run out of space just because the viewing came to the end of the program.
If my wife and I watch shows at different times we don’t want them to delete after one of us has seen the program.
I tried unchecking auto delete when storage full and it did not hep/
I have the Tablo app installed on Roku, Apple TV, and my iPhone/iPad. The problem you describe only seems to be on Roku, as I have noticed it, too. But I can tell you that your recordings are NOT gone!
Assuming you have the Tablo app on your smartphone, here’s a workaround: open the app on your phone, and find the show that you want to keep. Tap on “protect episode”. This will make it reappear on the Roku app.
Again, this just seems to be a Roku thing, as I am not having this issue on Apple TV or my iOS devices. Only Roku. It’s still annoying and Tablo needs to fix this ASAP.
My understanding is that it is not deleting them but rather ‘hiding’ them, and it is strictly a problem on Roku devices. If you look on your phone app the program is likely there. Tablo did suggest a workaround until they get it fixed. You can find that in the thread called ‘Gen 4 Update Failed 2.2.52.’
