Swapping Out Hard Drives

I was very surprised at how easy it was to swap a drive on my Lite. After Tablo formatted the new drive I was shocked that all my recording settings were preserved and I had to do zero programming for the new drive. Tablo’s programmers went out of their way to make upgrading a disk drive as easy as possible. Of course you lose the recordings (duh) but not much else. Thanks, Tablo!

If your first drive was still functional, you just upgraded to a larger one for example, you can copy your data over to the new drive by various methods.
Or you could use other methods (aka #3rd party programs) to retrieve recordings from your drive, ideally before the swap.
