The 35 mile radius antenna that comes with tableau 4 tuner unit is not adequate for the four basic channels ABC, CBS, NBC and fox. I don’t get ABC or NBC. I think the problem is that the stations are in a ring around my city and pointing it antenna in any One direction is not working.
Does anybody have a specific antenna that’s UHF VHF omnidirectional and covers pretty wide area either with a amplifier or without. I am looking for something to replace the supplied antenna that came with my device
Welcome to the TabloTV Community Forum. There are better experts on the forums than I, but I’ve seen good results with a 2- or 4-bay bow-tie antenna.
What market are you in and how far from the broadcast towers? Have you visited the Rabbit Ears website or AntenneWeb.org to get an antenna recommendation?
Personally, I hate that Tablo promotes those flat panel antennas. They really only work for a small percentage of users.
Have you checked to see exactly where the broadcast towers are? There are a number of interactive maps that will help you locate the towers and aim your antenna. Here is a link to one:
You might also want to check out AntennaMan on YouTube. He does great reviews. If you really want some help, for $40.00 he will analyze your specific location and make antenna and aiming recommendations. It worked out very will for me.
Thanks so much! I’ve been trying to get these location maps to work and this is the only one that worked on my phone and thanks again. It lets me know that my favorite station is 25 mi away. But it’s it’s a VHS system. So I need to get an antenna that will do both. I ordered two antennas and I will see if one of them works well. Thanks again!
