I just got a Tablo 4G from a friend. I’ve been successfully setting up and using these devices for over a year now so I don’t think I’m making a simple error. The Tablo’s reception and distribution over the network is working fine. However, in settings, the storage is listed as 109GB used, 7GB free (93% full), but there’s nothing listed in recordings to delete. I tried contacting Tablo support but keep getting “something went wrong” messages back from them so I’ve given up on that route.
Anybody got any solutions to clearing out the memory?
Well, what was Gilda Radner’s favorite saying on SNL… “Never MInd!”
It appears it can take up to 24 hours for the Tablo 4g to “clear itself out” of old settings and data - I just looked again and the memory is listed as clear now - 360 MB used, 116.48GB available.
I’ve never had to wait this long before after a factory reset(?!)
Wow. I just sold mine today and did a factory reset, and boxed it up for shipping! Following the factory reset instructions, it said to log out and hold for 7+ seconds until the light goes solid. Hopefully I’m not sending it to a buyer with data on it. Although, my useage was mainly on an external drive, which is the first thing that gets removed.
You should be fine. If you logged out, he’ll have to log in under a different account and any residual settings/data should be unaccessible (like it was on mine).
