That’s a bit odd. I have the 4th gen model too.
(White) It is clearly marked 1.5A.

Sorry! Mine is also 1.5A. Everything in my house is either 2A or 2.5A. Blame my faulty memory.
Update #1:
Based on the last email from Tablo Support, it appears they are sending a complete new unit (Tablo, Tablo Adapter, CAT5, etc) . After receipt, they are paying for me to return my non-working unit via Fed Ex.
I guess they suspect a failure in the Tablo until itself. Maybe there is a history of the Tablo units going bad, or the units in a certain batch. Just a hunch.
Update #2
(wish I would have thought of this yesterday) I decided to rummage around in storage to see if I could find a similar adapter and actually found one with the same specs as the Tablo (used with an ASUS router.) Still no lights on the Tablo when using the ASUS power adapter. However, the ASUS router worked when using the Tablo Power Adapter!
Conclusion. The Tablo power adapter works fine but the Tablo itself is toast.
Received the new replacement 4th gen, 4-tuner Tablo (not refurbished). Now setup and it works great.
Wonder if the 4-tuner models are more susceptible to failure?
Given they readily sent an entire new unit, it seems they may have suspected the failure was with the Tablo itself and not the power supply.
I have encountered situations where the power supply showed proper terminal voltage but had high internal impedance that prevented it from powering the device.
It would be necessary to place a load on the supply, like a small 12 volt automotive bulb, to see if the power supply could provide amps as well as volts.
Probably not the case here. The Tablo power supply worked fine on another device (router). The power supply that came with the router did not work on the Tablo.
