Sinclair is Trying to Buy More ABC, CBS, FOX, & NBC (E.W. Scripps Company is the target)
From what I understand, the Scripps family owns a vast majority of the voting stock in the company. They have stated multiple times that they are not willing to merge with anyone where they would end up with less than a majority.
From the article:
“Scripps has indicated a clear preference for pursuing its independent strategic path forward”
Doesn’t mean that it couldn’t happen, but I don’t see it right now.
Yep, the new article indicates that Sinclair is not giving up yet.
