Thanks. Makes sense. However, some input from seasoned users would be helpful rather than what we’ve been seeing. I’m sure the competition is also paying attention to this forum and they get the gist of what troubles to steer clear of. So, either way, they get telegraphed what’s working and what’s not working.
I’m not discounting your idea, just some realistic expectations, maybe.
As for other vendors, there have been discussions here, OTA DVRs do not seem to have 1:1 feature set. Of course they all watch the industry. Yet each had some unique functions and UIs different form each other.
Biggest, in this “technology age”, analytical demographic data is rampant. Data mining provides real life information. Not people answering questions/surveys with what “sounds” good, or what they think they should say.
“They” know when people are home, how long they stay up - get up, how many lights are on and how hot/cold a house is. And then the apps and all the other things we don’t want to think about.
TVs are collecting data aside from any provider, “they” know
I wonder what my TV’s know since none of them are connected to the internet.
