Search Movies by Genre on Android

I will often scroll through the upcoming movies and select ones to record. On my Roku devices I select movies from the top menu and can then filter by genre. I can do the same with TV shows.

I don’t see the equivalent on the Android app… no way to browse movies or TV shows. There is a search function, but not a way to browse that I can find. Am I missing something?

During the holiday seasons why would anyone want to search TV Shows or Movies by the genre holiday.

I noticed the same thing… I think I found a way around it… Goto ALL Movies and click on “recently added” at the top right. It will sort it.

That seems to be working for me. It shows ALL the recently added movies. Which is good enough for me… for now.

Where are you seeing ALL Movies?

My work around is use legacy. It also has manual recordings and an extend live that is long enough to cover actual live sporting events with having to do anything extra.

Goto the movie section… go down to the genres… all the way to right is all movies.

This is on the android app. It’s not on the iPhone app.

Again, I am not seeing the “Movie” section. My choices are “Library,” “Home,” and “Live.” “Live” gives me the program guide, but no “Movies” section. Library has a “Movies” section, but only includes things that have already been recorded.

I’m looking for the Android phone app equivalent of this screen:

I dont have that on my Onn 4k box. I dont have the genres at all.

The Roku app still has these options, as shown in KGBnut’s image. The new layout has taken this away from us and the Roku version has taken viewing live from us.

I received my one-year membership badge yesterday. So, a year ago was my first major Tablo issue and somehow things feel worse than back then. Maybe I’m just worn out after all these app revisions that break what was previously working?

It’s sort of like watching the Hindenburg trying to land at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station.
