Tablo 4th Gen 4 Tuner… did a channel scan and this channel shows up. I check it along with others and save.
Look a the guide but the channel is not there. The scan found it. It was saved.
Why doesn’t it show in the guide?
Because the guide for your zip code doesn’t know about it. If it’s a low power station sometimes they don’t do a good job of releasing the schedule. Or you could try a zip code closer to the transmitter and see if that helps.
Either what @zippy said, or you need to wait for the overnight update. Check it again in the AM.
There’s a different zip code across the road in the direction of the broadcast towers.
Changed my Zip, ran the scan, scan found the channel, channel not in the guide.
Ran the guide update still not in the guide.
Tried the next Zip closer to the bradcast towers. Still not in the guide.
Be sure the guide is set to Channels View / All channels.
Check to see if it is in Gracenote.
Change the provider settings at this website to OTA antenna and your ZIP code.
If the channel is there open a Support Ticket to get it added to the Tablo database.
Even if it doesn’t appear in Gracenote you can open a Support Ticket. Let them figure it out.

Did you run into the same issue this morning?
The channel IS listed on Gracenote OTA with either zip code I tried.
Tablo finds the channel when scanning BUT the channel DOES NOT appear in the Tablo guide AFTER scanning and save on either iPhone, iPad, or Roku.
When scanning the Tablo Gen4 just locks onto what the tuner can ‘see’ (and signal is good enough). Your Channels reflects that in the local Gen4 device.
Then the Gen4 contacts the mothership for the guide data.
Tablo gets their metadata from Gracenote. They enhance the guide data. Sometimes there is a mis-match or missing data.
No biggie.
In rare and alarming circumstances the guide data can get out of sync between apps on different devices. Support Ticket time!
Rabbitears shows three stations using virtual channel 47.1 in zip 87015. Maybe Tablo is getting confused.

Thanks for letting us know about this. Obviously it’s not optimal that a channel would appear in a scan and not get correctly added to your guide. It can sometimes be an issue of a mismatch between what physical stations your antenna can pull vs. what Gracenote provides for your ZIP’s guide data.
In this particular case however, we checked and saw that another channel you should have access to for your area (16.3 COZITV) has the identical content that 47.1 does. So you aren’t missing anything by not getting 47.1 assuming you can pick up 16.3. Please let us know if that channel works.
Yes, 16.3 works fine but it isn’t designated HD so I was interested in 47.1 which is designated HD.
Gracenote clearly shows channel 47.1 in both the zip codes i tried…
No big deal but it’s always the hardware people blame the software people and the software people blame the hardware people. The antenna works fine. Gracenote shows 47.1. The Tablo channel scan sees 47.1. The Tablo guide doesn’t save 47.1
The thing is… the antenna gets 47.1 in the scan but 47.1 doesn’t get saved in the guide so something is wrong and might effect another channel somewhere sometime. Viewing 16.3 treats the symptom but does not cure the disease.
I’m good with 16.3 and appreciate the replies.
This should be an interesting response. Are you talking about a LPTV station with a signal strength of -69.
I thought I brought this thread to an end but the only way I can answer your question is THIS…
KASADT4 47.1 listed as STRONG is the station that shows up in the Tablo channel scan but does not get saved to the Tablo guide.
As I already said… I’m good with channel 16.3 so I leave any further investigation to the Tablo people.
