Roof antenna not picking up local channels (resolved)

Hi, I’m new to Tablo.
I bought an OTA antenna from DISH 2 years ago and had it installed on the roof, so I wouldn’t have to pay them for local channels. It works with the DISH Hopper, but I want to drop DISH and use the antenna to record OTA channels on my Tablo DVR.
Why won’t the antenna pick up local channels? I’ve even tried connecting it directly to my TV, and it doesn’t pick up any local channels. I have called Tablo support, and tried what they suggested, but so far, we have not been able to fix it. I’ve also tried turning off antenna amplification.
We live in a small city, so the signals are pretty good - at least when connected to the DISH Hopper.
RabbitEars.Info - Signal Search Map in case that helps.

If the antenna doesn’t work with the tuner in your TV, it’s no surprise it didn’t work with Tablo either.

Apparently you need a better antenna.

I’m sorry; after 2 days of struggling with this, I figured out I was connecting the wrong coax cable. It’s working now. I tried to delete this topic, but it won’t let me.

I made a similar mistake not long ago. It gets tricky when there are a lot of wires.

Glad to hear that you got it fixed.

No need to delete the topic. If anything, thank you for posting your solution. We all make stupid mistakes, and someone seeing this post may realize they need to take a closer look at their cabling.

Don’t worry @NanCcan,

As KGBnut and andyross have said, your thread’s fine.

We’re glad your Tablo is working.
