Hi there

I’m using a two tuner tablo with hard wired Roku ultra devices. (I have two on two different TVs)

When I first began using tablo, I could just select the recording and press the play button on my Roku remote to begin viewing. But an update clobbered that and frustratingly I’m now forced to select the OK button, then select the option to view. So I really miss that feature and would LOVE to see it return!

On Roku Ultra, the included remote has a headphone jack on its side. I regularly connect earbuds and use this feature. Unfortunately, tablo seems to ignore this capability. I never get audio this way. Similarly, the Roku app on my android phone offers an option to route audio through the phone to connected earbuds. This also fails.

I’d really be happy if these features were added or changed to align with the way all the other Roku apps appear to behave.

I can’t speak to the sound issues with the Roku remote. I’ve never tried it.

However, on my devices, including my Roku Ultra, I can start a recording by pushing the play button on the remote. If you haven’t already reboot everything; your Tablo, the Roku, and also your router. See if it fixes anything. Let us know how it works out.

roku 4660 works for legacy. For gen 4 the audio compatibility mode had to be on since the audio is handled by the remote and most roku remotes don’t handle ac-3.
