@Jestep definitely a good idea!
Roku 3 hard wired works great.
But new alternative that may be cheap and worth a try, a Fire TV Stick. It works great through Plex and has a great processor in it compared to the Roku 3. I say wait for the new apps to come out first then decide.

Only downside to FireTV Stick (and I also own one) is that it is WiFi only - so no possibility to hard wire it.
True and it is lacking wireless AC, but the wireless N is fast enough for local streaming up to 30 Mbps (with my router and distance to router).
I only suggest people give it a try due to the low cost, $40. Definitely better than the Chromecast experience for that price point.
I actually bought one during the $19 Amazon sale. I figured it was too cheap not to try. The UI though is way too discombobulated for my liking. I have no idea where to go quickly and easily and it has a bunch of tiles I don’t want to see. But I have it as a backup if absolutely needed. Finding some good things occasionally on Craigslist for the Roku 3 so if this new Tablo/Roku interface is good enough I might go that route.
@mullermj Thanks for saying that! That said, we place a very high value on customer feedback, suggestions and feature requests. We share quite a bit of this stuff with the rest of the team, and while we have many goals, reducing friction and improving the overall experience for existing users is certainly one of the higher priorities we have. Thanks for all of your patience, and for being so receptive.
