I can see how people think this is a waste of money. I returned mine several months ago and went back to my Legacy Tablo, which is still (fingers crossed) working with my new Roku Ultra. I then turned back around and bought another Gen4 during the Amazon Deal Days (why?!).
I think some issues are difficult to describe for some people because there’s such a divide between the way we think it should work and the way it actually works (or doesn’t work).
I now have both Legacy and Gen4 Tablos running and I have an issue on the Gen4 where the time doesn’t show up on the time bar when using FFW and FRW within a recording. I get the “missing text” with each digit showing a vertical rectangle with an X in the middle. I suppose I’ll report this in a new or proper thread.
