I haven’t figured out how to stop a video and then resume in the Apple TV app. Also a suggestion… It would be nice if as you slid your finger higher up on the remote you added more skip forward or backward time. Like 10,20,30 etc. Just an idea 
Press menu to exit the video, when you come back to it, it will resume where you left off.
Great idea. 10 sec skips just takes too many to get through commercials.
If you hit pause on the Apple TV then swipe across the remote you can zip through the timeline in faster increments.
Or tell Siri to skip ahead 2 minutes, then move forward 10 seconds at a time from there.
