RESCAN problems with Roku wireless

One of my channels changed frequency and I instigated the rescan procedure. I run my Tablo thru Roku in wireless mode and do not have a TV antenna. The rescan deleted 2/3 of my channels Here is what I did

  1. changed my input to TV
  2. went to settings and found tuner settings
    3 went to auto scan only got 1/3 of my previous channels.

Do I need to hook up the antenna directly to my TV for a full scan?

Are you trying to do the rescan with the Tablo tuners or your TV’s tuner? If you want to scan your TV, you need the antenna connected to the TV. But you don’t need to do that at all if you never use the TV’s tuners and only use the Tablo.

Depends. Did you rescan thru the Roku? Or thru the TV? If thru the Roku, then the antenna needs to be attached to the Tablo. If thru the TV, then the antenna needs to be attached to the TV.

In my case, I would do both, and use a splitter so my antenna could be connected to both TV and Tablo.

I tried it with the tablo but I can’t find how to do a rescan with Tablo. Please tell me the steps thru the Tablo, or since I have installed the rescan already to I need to hook up the antenna to the TV
