Can the Remote streaming quality on the Fire stick be changed on the road or does this have to be changed on the home network? Traveling and can not seem to get it lowered from Full Quality…

You should be able to change it at any point. Except I believe it’s a known bug. See thread.

You can change the quality on your Fire TV device.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll over to “Preferences”
  3. Scroll down two steps to “Data Monitoring”
  4. Turn Data Monitoring On
  5. Now click “Set Video Quality”

You can then choose “Good”, “Better” or “Best”

While in this mode, you can even set your ISPs monthly data cap (or any other amount of data for which you wish to be notified) and set the date of your billing cycle, to alert you when you’re getting close.

It is indeed. We’re working on a fix.

One workaround is to lower your live TV and/or recording quality. Full quality will still not be any higher than those settings.
