I had three devices that were synced with my tableau at home. Had port forwarding and a DHCP reservation all set up on the home router. All the sudden none of my devices are working remotely and my device at home will not connect over Wi-Fi. Re booted everything and there is no luck. Is there a more widespread problem? Why would the devices suddenly stop connecting remotely? Is there a timeout? Is there periodic refresh needed for the synced devices? Could my broadband IP address have changed?
The issue with devices not connecting even on home network happened to me a few weeks ago as well. I had to press the reset button on the back of the unit (Quad) and restart my router to get it working again. For me, I believe it was that the morning rescan had an issue because when I got everything back there a lot of missing channels and I needed to scan again.
If your devices at home won’t connect over WiFi, this sounds like it could be a larger issue - like the Tablo itself could be offline entirely. Does anyone have access to the unit? Has power cycling it brought it back online, at least for local use?
