The Nvidia Shield Pro has a micro USB-OTG port in the back, its recommended use is to connect a PC for file transfers and adb-related Android stuff.
The Tablo Tuner can be connected to the micro-USB port with a USB-OTG adapter. The port supplies up to 500 mA so it’s up to USB 2.0 specs.
I recorded and played back a few shows and it’s rock solid.
