Power On and Last Channel Viewed?

Feature Request :
I don’t know about anyone else but usually the first thing I do when I get home is turn on the TV. I use Tivo and I have it set to the HDMI for tivo and it just turns on to the last channel viewed. I also have Tablo and was just wondering if it was possible to have a option ( Maybe a check Box ) that when the Tablo app is opened it will just play the last channel viewed ? Then when I would use Projectivy Launcher or Mini Lemon Tv box where you can have any app open when powered on it would just do that , Open the tablo app and then play the last channel viewed all with 1 or 2 clicks !! maybe I,m just getting to lazy , LOL ;>)

Unfortunately Tablo was never set up that way. And I do not think it is capable off ever doing that, because it is not connected directly to your TV.

DirecTV Stream does this. Just an app.

That’s not the limitation. TiVo isn’t directly connected to my TV and it still stays on the last tuner when it is on a different input. It is built in to the software of the DVR. Tablo does remember the last channel on occasion (based on the buffer sometimes still being available) after changing tuners. So, it is probably not that hard to implement. But, I have a long list of more important features I’d like to see before that. And for the cost of the Tablo vs. The TiVo, I don’t expect it to happen.

ETA: Also, I have 3 TiVo minis around my house, and each of them ALSO remember the last channel I am on at that specific mini. If it does change for any reason, if I hit the “last” button, it goes to the last channel it was on before.

It’s not on a different HDMI input from the other 15 OTT products I use. If every time some member of household started the tablo app and it started on some channel they didn’t want, it wouldn’t be long before the tablo device ended up smashed and in the trash.

On the Gen4, when I open the app, I have to select Live> guide and choose a station. Nothing comes up unless I select a channel from the guide. Is that different for you?
