The big recommendation is that anyone using Plex should change their passwords immediately .

Thanks for the heads-up, snowcat!
I found it disturbing that Plex sent an email to users stating their accounts have been breached and included a link in the email to reset your password when links to password resets is one of the oldest tricks in the book for stealing passwords.
I went to plex.tv and clicked on login and got a prompt to rest my password. The email should have instructed you do this instead of including a link.
Also, are the forums still down for everyone?
