I have a dual tuner devices. In general I love them. I keep getting l playback errors. I have an interesting configuration. Physical antenna in the attic which has 2 connections. A Cisco switch to allow hard wired connections for both devices. And finally an external hard drive on each device. I have multiple record schedules on both devices and the library is growing pretty quickly. I have firesticks on multiple TVs. What the most common causes of playback errors. I changed out the switch today with no improvement. Thanks!

Hi there! I have another type of playback error going on with My 4th Gen 2 tuner. When playing back a recording, The audio video lip sync is totally out of whack and is unwatchable. Seems to be happening about one out of every 10 recordings. I have a very strong Internet connection and I have a very nice rooftop antenna pulling in strong signals. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I really love my tablo
Sorry you’re running into this @Rob1961 A/V sync issues are generally caused by blips in the broadcast stream.
You mentioned that you generally have strong signals, so there are two possibilities to investigate:
- Your antenna signals are SO strong, they’re occasionally overdriving your Tablo’s tuner
- You have an intermittent source of interference affecting your antenna signal
Keeping track of whether recordings are coming from a specific channel, or across channels but at specific times of day might point to the problem.
