It’s 2026. We need Picture in Picture support added to the ios app. This new generation app is just the same as the tablo legacy app with some color changes. You would think they would care about adding this. About to switch back to the legacy device because that is a better experience since we can do PIP with the browser on iPhone
When I mention PIP, I don’t mean watching multiple shows at once (although this would be great too) inside of the Tablo app. It’s talking about the ability to enable floating video and have the app in the background then be able to multitask by operating other apps with video playing on the screen. Right now, let’s say I get a text message. I must get out of the app, stop the video, then complete my task such as responding to a message. Then get back into the Tablo app and resume play.
99% of other apps already support playing video in PIP in the background which makes this the only app I have that doesn’t do this. Not having this flow contributes to a below standard user experience. This would be a 5 star app with this enhancement.
