PBS Not in my Guide

I installed 4th Generation about a week ago. Initially I had Philadelphia WHYY PBS station. Now I don’t.

I tried changing the location of the antenna, which did improve all of my other channels.
Is PBS filtered? If so how can I get it back?

Just to clarify, the station is not coming in, or are the program listings not appearing in your guide?

When I scan, the channel does not appear in the list. All other channels do.
It would be channel VHF 12 for us.

When I connect the antenna to the tv directly. Channel 12 is fine.

Wow there are a lot of zip codes in the Phiadelphia area. Did you try changing to a different near by zip code then re-scanning?

I live in an area with only 2 zip codes. One day many years ago (with my legacy Tablo), my guide was completely empty. I changed it to the other zip code (not mine) and everything was back. Have never changed it back to my zip.

Its ok, I downloaded the PBS app. All is well. I can’t get the channel on my Tablo.

Actually I did try that. Thank you for helping. I tried 19131

The Tablo is less accepting of weak signal than are the typical tuners in a TV. That is in part because the signal is split to two or four separate tuners.

If I had to guess, this sounds like an antenna problem to me. Can you tell us what kind of antenna you have, and where it is located?

I see that you found a streaming option, and it sounds like you are content with that solution.

Yes. Spot on. Using an outside antenna improved it.

Yes Tablo has guide issues with PBS stations! It is NOT a reception issue!

That’s why I do now get channel 6 but not 12

Just as a bizarre followup. Every day at 4PM - 7 I was losing all my channels. I put my flat indoor antenna on the wall instead of the window, facing the same direction. All of my channels are flawless now.

Including PBS by the way.
