Pausing for long period (hours) deletes recording

This has happened a few times now. I leave a recording (3+ hours of football) paused for a few hours, and when I return and try to resume, it errors trying to load the recording. “Retry” results in the same error after a spinning circle for about a minute. “Cancel” and return results in the recording being deleted!

Using Amazon Fire TV Max stick and firmware 2.2.56 (recently installed). It previously happened with version 2.2.54.

I agree that it should not do that, but instead of leaving it on pause for so long, why not just press the Home button on the Fire Stick. Your program will still start where you left off if you select Resume when restarting the recording.
