Manual Recording
Feature Description
I would like to be able to set manual recordings by date, time, and channel in the 4th Generation app.
It is insane Tablo still can not figure out how the 1980’s VCR was able to do manual recordings.

You don’t have to go back to the 1980’s. The legacy devices had manual recording. That feature was one that differentiated tablo from plex, channels, and flex who didn’t have the feature.

It seems like it was a year ago when the tablo guide servers had a major melt down which took 1-2 weeks to fix. And even before that there were glitches in the guide. Much of the unhappiness the consumers had would have been alleviated if the product had manual recording.
Yet a year later and the product still limps along without the feature.

Adding my vote.
Relying on third parties to correctly tag series/new episodes is dumb (in a bad way).
“Record channel X every day at time Y” is dumb (in the good way) - it’s not dependent on anyone else, can’t really break, and should be easy to implement.

As long as they stop Daylight Saving Time changes. In most states.
