On-Screen Channel Selection Menu on Live TV View

Pressing Up/Down on Roku remote activates the context-sensitive (on screen) Tablo channel selector with minor details and upcoming shows.

I’d like to request this feature on the Gen4 Tablo. Why it’s not there already is baffling. My wife is requesting that it be added to the NEW Tablo, because it is available on our Legacy Tablo. Sheesh Scripps, let’s get some developers on these tasks and AT LEAST bring forward what worked and what people used from the Legacy products. This should be a no-brainer.

If you are watching Tablo Gen 4 on an onn streaming device, there is a very similar feature. If you click down you will see tiles showing what is playing on other channels. You can select an quickly change to those channels.

The mini-guide feature on my legacy quad is totally new to me. I should have run into it by accident years ago.

@KGBnut - it doesn’t work on my Roku Ultra 4850X/Tablo Gen 4 combo with updated apps. I get nothing when I click the up/down buttons. Would you post a picture of how it should look? Also, what is an onn streaming device?

There’s a picture in the original post. Gen 4 doesn’t have the feature. It’s only on the legacy for now I hope they add it to gen 4 soon. It’s a great feature

The Roku app (sadly) doesn’t have this feature. I have only seen it on the onn streaming device (which I think is similar to, or perhaps identical to, Chromecast. It is Google/Android). I posted a review of it here not long ago.

Ya, I’m not interested in whatever the onn device is. Thanks anyway.
